It all began back in Grade 11 English class, where fate (and two cross-country moves) brought us together. Krista, fresh from Random Island, Newfoundland, and Brian, newly arrived from Kamloops, BC.

Brian quickly made an impression, mostly by kicking Krista's chair, flicking her ponytail, and pestering her relentlessly. Krista was annoyed then, and occasionally still is, but Brian swears his moves worked back in high school and, somehow, still do.

Things heated up in Chemistry 30, where Brian tutored Krista. From there, young love blossomed through their time at Keyano College. Eventually, life took them in different directions. Krista moved to Ottawa, and after a few cross-country romances, breakups, and new beginnings (including marriages, careers, and the wonderful arrival of Murphy), their story paused - but never really ended.

Years later, fate, and perhaps a bold move by Krista at Ben's annual farm party, brought them back together. Brian credits COVID lockdowns and forced Game of Thrones marathons for rekindling their spark; Krista insists it was just always meant to be.

By spring 2021, they decided to try again for real, blending their lives (and hearts) once more. With little Bobby's arrival, their family of four felt complete.

Now, after 20 years of love, laughter, chair-kicking, and hair-flicking, Krista and Brian are making it official and ready to celebrate surrounded by family and friends from across the country and beyond.
